which introduced the concept of co-op to China. Featuring programs in mechanical and electrical engineering,
patient care by prioritizing interventions based on patient conditions and wait times.
The startup advanced through the Venture Lab, UC’s startup incubator, and received
substantial support, including funding and mentorship. Murray’s connections with CEAS
faculty and UC’s Center for Entrepreneurship helped the company gain traction, and
Teravus is now preparing for clinical trials.
JCI students earn degrees from both universities. Students spend four years in China before completing their

secure co-op positions and advance to graduate studies. With a decade of success, the collaboration has
enhanced educational models and global engagement between the two institutions.
