NSBE
The University of Cincinnati is home to one
of the oldest student chapters of the National
Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). One of 600
chapters worldwide, UC NSBE is committed to
increasing the number of culturally responsible,
successful, Black engineers. On campus, NSBE
is reminiscent of family for its members,
providing a community with the shared
experience of being Black in engineering.
UC NSBE hosts several events for Cincinnati
K-12 students to inspire their passion for
STEM. Their signature event, “Engineer for a
Day,” brings students and their families to
campus. Wholly student run on a campus,
regional and national level, NSBE provides
students with an opportunity for leadership,
networking, and lasting connections. In 2024,
